Wilson grew up in the wildest, most powerful and poetic landscape, bright with colour and one that we know now from film: the remote South Island of New Zealand. Her work contains the force of this landscape, whilst the structure and poetry of her paintings are created in part by her constant referring to and looking at Mantegna, Bellini and the Spanish painters of still life. Every painting has a reason and a narrative backstory that one is left unravelling for long afterwards.

Wilson’s works are held in many public collections in the UK, New Zealand and Spain, including the New Zealand Portrait Gallery, Auckland Museum, Oriel College Oxford, New Hall Cambridge, HRH The Prince of Wales, and the Contemporary Art Society.

The exhibition takes place at Jessica's home and is by appointment only. Please contact us  if you would like to book an viewing or receive a list of available work.
